Through Indigo’s Eyes is a unique story that brings out issues that most of us deal with in adolescence yet with a unique twist. We all deal with being different growing up, too fat, too tall, dark skin, red hair, etc… and there are life lessons to be told on how to deal with those differences. The story of a struggling teenager and growing up feeling apart from everybody is one that many can relate to, regardless of the reason. In Indigo’s case (or Tara’s) the difference was a spiritual one that brought a very special side to this story. Although I have never read this genre of spiritual book before, it is a gateway to want to learn more about it. Through Indigo’s Eyes is an entertaining read that leaves you wanting to learn more about Indigo’s gifts, regardless if you believe or not. As an aside, I especially loved that the book was based in Ottawa on streets that I know, moments in time that I can relate to (i.e. the ice storm) and places I love.
